Mardafıl: This fruit is called “Giant Fruit” in its region.
The fruit meeting soil for first time is very wooly. As the plant grows, it becomes less wooly and gains a soft structure. The mardafıl can have the height of about 3-4 meters, and has a different appearance. This plant generally grows in shore regions, and yields fruits between September and December.
Local people use this fruit as an antiseptic. In some cases, it is also used as purgative and it is very useful for treating difficult bowel problems. Since mardafıl is very useful for therapies of many diseases, many researches have been carried out on this point.
